I'm up to episode 17 in Clannad (took me a while, couldn't stand watching more than 2 back to back Lool), and i'm wondering what's so great about both series??
Personally it just feels like Clannad and Air are too cliche and parallel eachother almost exactly. True they are both harems, but the storyline is meh, and each girls arc makes me feel like i'm watching Amagami SS without the resets Lol. I like how all of the side-character-girls have a FEINT romance attraction to the protagonists and it isn't a full on harem where the guy has to choose between like 5 girls, but going from 1 girl to the next builds no connection to the main protagonist nor the heroine!!! Idk if it's just me, but it's becoming a chore to watch consecutive episodes and I don't feel a hook at all.
BTW. I heard Clannad season 2 is more romantic and based around Nagisa / Tomoya instead of dif arcs between all the girls. True?? Gimme feedback.
