I tried to play this version of the game exactly by the rules, but there are some matters that I couldn't find anything written about in the rules book/guide.
1. In this version, you have to go inside the pool (in the middle of the board) to make the accusation. Also, there are a total of 21 rumor cards that are distributed to the players and the ones that remain are placed in the pool, face down. Eg: in a 4 or 5 players game there will be one card in the pool. I will have to go inside the pool to see that card. If I combine these 2 rules with the one that sais I must leave the room I'm in at the beginning of every turn, I come across the next confusion:
Q1: Let's say I am close to the end of the game. I use my turn to go inside the pool and look at the card that I find there. I now know the answere and I want to make an accusation. Can I do that in the same turn (I already am in the right place)? Or do I have to leave the room and enter again next turn to make the accusation (this way I am wasting 2 extra turns)? Also, I just read that if I leave a room in a turn I can only come back in it after I've been inside another room, is that the case here too?
2. My second problem is about the intrigue cards that come in this version. Using them I can move to a room without rolling the dice. So here are my questions:
Q2: Is the pool considered also as a room, meaning that I can use the "Move anywhere" and "Move to a room that has no secret passage" to go there?
Q3: Does the second card mean that I can only move to a room that is not in the corner?
Q3: Can I draw a card when someone moves me from the pool to start a rumor about my character (if it is considered a room, like in Q2)
Q4: When can I use Peacocks special power? It sais you can "pick a card to look at from a player you just showed a card to"so do I use this special power when I show a card to someone, even if it's not my turn? Also, it sais "randomly pick a card". does that mean that it's ok if I picked a card I have already seen, or do I ask the player to put those aside?
Q5: How many intrigue cards can I use on my turn. It sais "any number of cards" in the rules, but if i have 6 in my hand, 2 x "Take another turn"and others, does that mean I can play as many turns as I can in a row?
Q6: What happens if someones makes a mistake? Eg: I forget I have the Knife in my hand and I don't show it when I must and I realise that later. How can I fix this problem?
Q7: Let's say I play a 4 player game. All the other 3 players have made their accusations and they were all wrong. Does the game end and the only one remaining is the winner? or does it continue? In this case, can I continue going from one room to another and starting rumors, or am I forced to make an accusation too?
Q8: If someone asks about 2 or 3 things that I have in my hand, I first show them 1. If they ask the same Q, can I show them the same card? or do I have to show a different one? This problem always creates confusion when I play, because most of the people forget what they have shown you and if you say "I saw this already, don't you have another one I haven't seen yet" then other players will also know what card you saw.
These are all my Q for now, I tried to find the answeres on the internet but I didn't come across any of them, since they are more about the interpretation of rules and meanings of the cards. I hope I can find someone to answere at least some of them.
Thx.
