cobalt ss sub in cobalt lt?

ok, so i have an 06 cobalt LT. my brother has an 06 cobalt ss. his came stock with the factory sub in the trunk and it sounds good. its the tight extra bass i am looking for. i have 2 12 kicker comps with a 1200 watt amp currently but it just doesn't sound as tight. i was looking to buy the sub and amp for the factory SS sub on ebay and i was wondering how hard and/or if its even possible. i dont believe i would need a new head unit. but i would need to know is there a way to install this? if so how would i go about doing this? also the ebay auctions come with all the speakers and the amp and sub, but no wiring? so to do this to my stock deck like chevy would do in there factory what would i need to do without pulling tons of money out of my butt?
