I have always loved to dance I took about 4 years of ballet, 1 year of tap, and 2 hip hop classes when I was younger. It's been about 4 years since my last dance class but my teachers were always impressed with me and I have a natural strength in things like dance and yoga.
I wanted to be a cheerleader in high school but I was too shy. I've become more outgoing since then and I would love to be on a college dance team.
I haven't danced much in the last few years but I did get into resistance training and jogging so I'm very fit and flexible.
What do they look for at tryouts?
What skills are most important?
Do I need to be able to do flips/gymnastic type moves?
How do you prepare for being on a team?
