The problem with the HID lights is that when i turn them on at night certain parts where i live the radio gives off static/cuts out. I changed the ballis and everything but still having the same problem. I was told that they where installed right once i called miami dade to file a claim due to the fact that they would not refund and put my stock lights back on.

Whenever you have static from a circuit that could be what we call voltage interferences or voltage leakage the radio could have a weak ground or the antenna could have bad grounds , and any circuit like the HID system has capacitors and a voltage regulating circuit that also helps to filter out voltage impurities.I'd want to make sure that not only the radio, antenna, HID circuits have good solid clean grounds.

Hope that helps and best of luck.By the way even the chassis ground or other grounds can cause problems if they have a loose or poor or corroded or rusty connection.Remember that the alternator and comp system also has to clean the voltage and regulate it too.
