Connecting a CDX-S2000 cd-stereo so that it remembers the stations and so on?

I have a cdx-s2000 stereo and want to connect it so it remembers the stations, I have a cable that has 1 red and 1 yellow going into 1 yellow, Do i split this so that one of them is permanent to the 12v and switch the other, If so does anybody know which is which??

I hope this is not a silly question, But i lost the manual a long time ago, And i am putting it on my motorcycle and have to be able to switch it off, I have a button already which i am switching the live at the moment.

Usually red wire goes direct to battery & yellow to the switch. If that doesn't work then its the other way around.
