I am trying to connect my 2009 MacBook Pro to my brand new Samsung LED HDTV. I am not very technical (so sorry if I get some of the technical words wrong) but have been trying for ages and have got nowhere. I tried connecting the MacBook to the TV using a MIni Display Port to HDMI lead, which got me picture but no audio. I bought a cable with a headphone jack at each end and tried that in all of the different ports, as well as an RCA cable with the red and white end and plugged those into the tv and the headphone jack into the headphones. So far there is no sound. I managed to connect it to my boyfriend's TV with the HDMI and headphone cables and it worked just fine. I think the issue is that there is no port on the back of my TV that it for PC Audio In (like there is on my boyfriend's TV). Has anyone got any suggestions? Could I try using a VGA cable? Thanks for the help :)
