Connecting mouse to a laptop via bluetooth?

I'm looking for a new mouse for my laptop and am interesting in a bluetooth one. I'm just curious about the security in publice places. Can I have my laptop invisible while the bluetooth is turned on? Like with you phone there's an option HIDE DEVICE.
 
Your bluetooth mouse will not compramise your laptops security. Go for it!
