Haha, Hey. I'm 13 years old, living in Australia and in Year 8 of high school. I have been told by a couple of people i know (my parents, their friends who are University lecturers etc) that it is time i start deciding what (field, job etc) I really want to be (study) when I'm older. The thing is, i have no idea. I know people say that you should do what you enjoy or what you're good at. The thing is, i have no idea what I'm good at. My interests do include: (visual) art (mostly fantasy, cartooning, graphic but i enjoy all kinds), sport (basketball mainly =P), Video games...hey I'm 13 =P. But i really don't know what i want to do. As i said before I don't really know where my talents lie. IF i have any that is. So is it too early to decide? Too late? What should i really consider for when it's time to decide what i'll study in Uni? (college, whatever.) And how do i really know what im genuinely good at? I'm not telling you to tell me what im good at or what i should take up as a career. Just to try and help me find out what im good at or what i should take up as a career... Thank you for helping me out! PLEASE READ BEFORE ANSWERING! Oh Sorry some things i forgot to mention...sorry! (just some minor details) I decided that Law/Commerce might be a good field to take but i also know that it has VERY high standards to get in let alone be successful and im doubting i have what it takes. (it is rather competive here) Medical was another but same case as law... I just really don't know if i can be "successful" in a competitive environment like this (I'm not saying its the ONLY competitive environment around, but for me....well you get the idea. Am i thinking too much about this? What Should/can i do? What got you into the career/job your'e in now?
