My friend was arrested last night and was charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery. he was also charged with two other things, but i can't remember what they were. They were minor crimes tho. How long of a sentence could he possible serve because of this? He's 18 and this is in California.
Well according to him there where no weapons involved, but for some reason the police say there were. I know for a fact there were no guns or knives & nobody was hurt. No property or objects were damaged either. & one of the other counts was criminal threats.

conspiracy when two or more agree to a crime easy to prove even when it wasn't agreed upon
If one of the others involved kept a hand in a pocket and acted like a weapon was there , that can make it armed

Conspiracy to commit ARMED robbery is NOT a 'minor' crime. Things that go with it are usually not minor either. Without knowing the actual charges, we can't even state the minimum/maximum sentences.
