When i was in laos they use to cook wild and white rice together with sweet coconut and stuff it into bamboo tubes and then cover the ends with grated dried coconut....yum. But what i want to know is how to cook wild rice with white rice together in the same pot. You could tell they did this in lao because the white rice would take on a purple hue. Im guessing you add the full amount of water for both rices in one pot, start steaming the wild and then add the white a lil way though, but how much water?....any suggestions appreciated, want it for dinner tonight!
