Could I get away without inking my comic book?

I'm going to take drawing classes so I wont have to hire anyone to do my comic book. Would it be best to also learn inking on top of drawing for my comic book?
 
It'd certainly be beneficial if you learned, after all, if you're serious about your comic and want to publish it professionally, there's no way you could get away with NOT inking it. Have you ever seen a finished comic book go uninked? It's good to practice, especially since you're taking classes and don't plan on starting the comic right away anyway. :)
