Could I get fired, If i ask for vacations before having a job?

okay, well I applied like a week ago at a nursing home and they are hiring me. I had the interview with the manager and tomorrow I'm going to talk to the person in charge of the schedule. I'm going on vacation on December with my whole family its from Dec 15 - January 4. Could they fire me if I tell them before hand that I am planning to go on vacation? or will they appreciate me telling them I plan to go in about 1 month and a half?
 
I think they would definitely appreciate your telling them, and it would be more professional to do so, also you'd have more peace of mind afterwards than waiting a month or so before telling them.

BUT you have to ask yourself what you're going to do if they say that isn't possible. They probably won't fire you outright, they'll instead say YOU have to choose. Would you quit or would you stay home?

I'm sure it won't be paid vacation in any case....
