As Borges points out, we know that the Saviour could feel pain, thirst, hunger and doubt. The qualities of 'humanitas' and 'impeccabilitas' are not compatible. Yet He was both Man and Divine. It is reasonable to suppose he could also sin and be damned. I'm looking for serious answers from a theological point of view. If you say that 'He could but He didn't" I would point out that his cursing of a fig tree in frustration and annoyance, seems a sin of sorts, albeit a minor one.
