Could my car's overheating be related to the work just done on my steering column?

[QUOTE="BethS, post: 1437083, member: 232964"] I just had my steering column housing and tilt pins replaced. I left the dealership, stopped for gas, and was less than a mile away when my car started overheating. The gauge went into the high normal area, and I turned up my heat very high, and it was blowing out cold air. The gauge kept going up and up and into the red, and my warning light came on, and when I finally found a safe place to pull over, it stopped. I kept my heat on high and it didn't go back up again for the five or so miles home, but I"m just wondering -- is there something that could have been done near the steering column that the dealership may have messed up on? I have had so many components of my cooling system fixed in the past two years (heater core, coolant hose, timing gasket, water pump, radiator, thermostat) that I don't know what's left!! Any ideas?
