The first time I took an interest in a general election, I was astonished to find that the news media suspended all speculation about the result on polling day, when I had expected there to be non-stop discussion of all the issues.  Why is this?  Is there actually a law that covers it, or is it just a convention?</p></blockquote><p></p>
