Hi! I am planning a cross country trip from Hartford, CT to Los Angeles, CA starting November 25th, 2011. What is the best and safest route to take assuming winter weather will have hit? I do not want to take a very round about way because I have to make it to CA in a reasonable amount of time but, I am obviously willing to take longer to avoid bad weather that will put a strain on my comfort and my car. And if there is somewhere really great worth stopping along the way, I'd appreciate the recommendations. Thanks!
