David Price diagnosed with left triceps strain, likely to miss at least one start

He then ran into serious trouble in the third after walking Stephen Drew to begin it. That was followed by three singles, the last of which was delivered by David Ortiz. It was at that point Price could be seen looking at his arm and shaking the fingers on his left hand while half-heartedly backing up the plate.</p><p></p><p> Head athletic trainer Ron Porterfield and manager Joe Maddon quickly converged on the scene to check him out. Playing it safe with their ace is definitely the way to go, and it's not as if the Rays lack the options for a short-term callup with Jake Odorizzi off to a terrific start at Triple-A.
