deja vu is when you see something for a second time...example!
when I was in like 2nd grade, I had a dream about being in book swap, and then it happened. It happens all the time to many people. I'm guessing you just stopped and were like, "whoa, where have I seen this before?" so i think you have two options
1. either you "see" it (or dream about it) beforehand, and then it actually happened, or
2. it happened and then later you "saw" it. I think that's considered more of a flashback.

deja vu is possible and quite common. I have had prophetic dreams and then seen the place or person later.
