On Friday night, DeMarcus Cousins led the Sacramento Kings past the Los Angeles Lakers. On Saturday night, his encore was even more impressive. Against the New Orleans Hornets, the hottest team in the NBA, DeMarcus Cousins led his Kings to a 102-96 victory. He finished with 25 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists in 35 minutes.

“This was another big win for us,” said Cousins. “Another momentum boast. Hopefully we can keep it going.”

Tyreke Evans chipped in with 18 points and six assists for the Kings. After their back-to-back wins, the Kings are now 12-33 on the season.

The Hornets, who entered the game with an NBA-best winning streak of ten games, were led by David West’s 21 points and seven rebounds. The loss dropped New Orleans to 31-17, which has the Hornets in the fifth seed in the Western Conference playoff picture.
