I've just got a new phone (blackberry bold 9900) and I'd like to use the device switch on desktop manager to get all my saved messages over etc.
For a little while I haven't been able to get desktop manager to connect to my blackberry 8520, it says no device is connected, even though I have got it in mass storage mode, and my computer can see it... I can get onto all my media files, add music and stuff, but not using desktop manager.
I thought it could have been because I did drop my phone down the toilet last July, but I checked when my last back up file was and it was October, and my phone has worked fine since then. So that can't be it really...
I can remember it all went wrong around the time I updated my desktop manager, but I have downgraded it to version 5 (my 8520 has version 5 on it) and it still won't work :(
I've tried different usb ports, also different usb connector things... the 9900 will work with desktop manager, with the new usb connector, but not the 8520 :(
Anyone got any ideas?
