Create is maybe the wrong word, more enforce or set it in stone. But it is the easiest way to describe it.
If we look back to the Greek religion, Homosexuals were accepted. In Roman society it was also okay as long as it did not distract you from your important tasks or jobs as a soldier.
In Ancient Egypt it was also accepted, and there are stories of there God's being gay (I won't go into detail as it's a bit weird)
In the Norse religion (Vikings) it was not accepted as such, but allowed as long as you reproduced. The main ideal for them was survival, and as long as you reproduced and didn't upset society, it was okay.
There are other examples of this, but did Christianity/Judaism enforce this homophobia. If so, why so? Why is it wrong to be gay? Surely God would want his people to be happy. I don't understand this problem with homosexuals.
So, did Christianity/Judaism set homophobia in stone for the world, especially the western world.
