Did God want Christianity to form or just want to fix and correct Judaism?

Jews still believe their messiah will come. They believe that Jesus was a false prophet for a few reasons. One, he didn't fulfill the prophecy of world peace. Christians justify this by claiming Jesus will fulfill that prophecy on his second coming though. Second, Jesus tells people to break some of the old testament laws, such as eating pork (or unclean animals) for example, or drinking blood (his blood, in the form of wine - makes sense, right?)

But Jews believe the Bible tells of a messiah who will come and bring Judgment day, Christ just wasn't him, so they are still waiting.

All come to know the savior the same way, and there is an equality amongst all believers. No more Jew, Christian, Greek, Barbarian, Free, Slave, Male, or Female. The dividing wall has been replaced by a unity in Christ. Do a study on the phrase "in Christ" and see what comes of it.

We are all one in the Body of Christ; the catholic (universal) church of all true believers. I will say that an understanding of the jewish roots of Christianity is a definite plus, when we try to understand all that God has given us in the gift of Jesus, or Yeshua ha Maschiach. Hope I spelled that right...it means Jesus, the Messiah. The trick is to love one another enough to evidence the unity, amidst the diversities of background and heritage.

Since the word "christian" has been misused by so many people we have to understand that it was first applied to those who follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. Many who apply this title to themselves do not do this and are therefore liars.

In the true sense of the title, yes, God did mean for "Christianity" to form. It is called "The Church", "The Body of Christ". He did this not to "fix" Judaism, but to full-fill the Old Testament that Judaism is based on. Matthew 5:17,18 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets; I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

"The Messiah" is a Jewish king whose job it is to defeat the invaders and rebuild an independent Israel.

The Jesus who Christianity comes from was just one of a number of failed Messiahs. He never became king and certainly never had a chance to do anything against the invaders.

But after he died, as the Jewish presence among his followers waned, the leadership started a strong recruitment process among the non-Jews.
As a result -- they created a Helenistic-Mesopotamian religion with a Jewish backstory -- but no continuing relationship to Judaism.

Presumably this is in some way part of God's plan.
As is the establishment of Budhism, Islam, Bahai ...Marxist materialism... Wicca

If you follow the Old Testament or the history of the Hebrew/Jewish people, you will find that Abraham was chosen so his descendants will be the light to the world and that by them, God should bless the whole world.

When Jesus came, He said that He was the light of the world and His coming, death and resurrection fulfilled the prophecies that God gave by the Jewish prophets. Also several things that the Jews went through symbolised the purpose of the Lord's life.

To answer your question: Judaism is the way that God used to bring Christianity into the world. The Bible called the Old Testament 'the shadow of the things to come' and the New Testament 'the real thing'.

Please read the Book of Hebrews and you will see that Christianity was the Original Plan and Judaism was the means of achieving that plan.

Thank you.

He came to give the new covenant, Judaism is named after Judas, the place where Israelites were living. He want all of the Jews to be Christian, which is a name given later to the following of the Christ, Messiah in hebrew, Anointed one in English
