I experienced a phenomenal meditative state recently. I believe I may have transcended the first and second jhanas, and upon approach to the third, felt as if I was being "encouraged" to combine my energy with an infinite, massive, eternal energy...
Part of the "encouragement" was a huge chant, made by many voices, which I realized later could be a form of a mantra, but I don't speak Sanskrit.
It sounded like this:
Ah-moon-day-Ah ....or.... Ah-moon-day-UH
(The "Ah" is the A sound like in Father.)
I considered that the first syllable may in fact be "Aum/Om" but it was more "A" than "O".
