i took my puppy outside to pee and poop and there was this bone on the side and he kept on tugging the leash and bite my leg because i pulled the leash to keep on walking. When we were going back home we have to climb 8 stairs and he started tugging me some more so i guessed maybe he had to do some more pee or whatever so we went back and then he went to the nasty bone full of dirt so i said NO and then he kept on pulling and i said thats it i carryed him home and gave him 2 kind of hard smacks in his butt then he started barking like he has never backed before it sounded like the tv turned on super high so i yelled at him and gave him two more smacks. I didnt do it very hard but he is only 10 mounths. i feel very bad and im sure that its all because i did not let him take the bone . I want to know if its really that bad to hit my dog i could have locked him in his cage do you think that its better to lock him in his cage then yell and give some smacks? Is this abuse?
