One of my parakeets laid 4 eggs and I didn't know what to do with it. The old lady at the pet shop went to our place and I met her across the street. She said she was visiting a friend and she asked about my birds. I said that one of them laid eggs, and she told me she'll buy the mother bird and her eggs since she said her business started to decline when she ran out of birds. The egg laying ones were getting old, and there are now more male birds than female birds. I agreed since I couldn't care for 4 more parakeets since more pets mean more time, space, and expenses. I couldn't just kill her eggs, my bird would lose her trust in me and it's wrong to kill animals. My cage is not big enough to accomodate them. Nor would I be the one to sell them, since I don't run a pet store and I have to care for them as long as nobody's taking the birds. She paid me twice the amount of one parakeet since she would also be buying her future offsprings which she will also sell and she promised to give me a few of the bird's offsprings for free as replacement for the bird that she took. I wanted the best for my pet and it's best if she'll be back in the petshop where the old lady has all the time to care for her and her offsprings. I was glad I was able to help her in her business and I'm happy that my bird laid eggs but I just couldn't care for all of her babies. Next time, I'd buy male birds so no egg laying will happen again. Is it okay for male birds to be all together in the same cage? And one of my birds is also shivering, there's nothing wrong with her besides that she's shivering especially her wings. She eats well, she's active and her poop is fine as well. What is happening to her, how do I keep her warm?.
