Did I permanently mess up the future?

I was planning on asking this girl out over the summer before I saw her more than once or twice a month. Now she's in my group of friends and I see her all the time. Now I'm stuck in this "friends zone", how can I get back that connection we had a month ago, and how can I get her to start thinking of me as potentially more than a friend?
 
It is not too late, best relationship starts from good friendship. Be her friend now and get to know her a little more then when you feel comfortable, ask her out.
