I'm a little confused because I know Lee was a general for the Confederate army but before that he was offered a position in the Union army.

I don't think he disliked him I think he respected him but he wouldn't command the Union army because he didn't want to turn his back on his home of Virginia.

I'm not sure about his personal feelings, but the reason Robert E. Lee chose to fight for the Confederacy was because his home was in Virginia, and he felt he couldn't fight against the people he lived with. If Virginia never left the Union, Robert E. Lee would have fought for the Union, so I guess he didn't dislike Abe lincoln. But i'm not sure if he liked him.
