Mosaic law of perfection lost? Did that mean Humans could disobey any commandments?

Or are the 10 commandments just sort of a guideline of sorts for human behavior?


Did the Christs death provide a sacrifice for humans so they could approach God and do away with the need for burnt animal sacrifices ?
