My whole life I've pretty much just breathed through my mouth....I don't know if this is something I just did or because I had difficulty even then. Anyway, lately its become really bothersome, particularly at work. I'm not sure if it could be the airconditioning, but when i'm working I sometimes find myself gasping for breath. When I'm in airconditiong I tend to breathe through my nose more, I'm not really sure why, and I do it for a while then suddenly realise I'm not breathing very well, which means I start to breathe really heavily through my nose and mouth, and it sounds like a heavily obese person struggling for breath. It doesnt feel as though my nose is blocked though, it feels further back towards the back of my throat. As I said i remember people commenting in primary school that I breathe heavily and loudly, so i guess I've always had this problem. When I was about two I had an operation on my nose ears and throat, I've been told for snoring, but I don't know what the surgery actually was. Sorry to ramble but if anyone knows what the problem is or if I should see a doctor, that would be a great help :)
