My friend has Direct TV DVR and I have DishNetwork DVR. The Direct TV requires you to use their ESata plug to record onto an ESata external hard drive. DishNetwork uses the USB port to record onto an external hard drive (not ESata). To be able to record from Direct TV and be able to watch on DishNetwork, can I use an ESata adapter to USB, USB adapter to the current wire to the external hard drive (the external hard drive that I would use for DishNetwork).
