[QUOTE="kccoppert, post: 2300829, member: 802062"] HDMI inputs on tv are burning out from a result I've been told was from lightning strikes. The dish is mounted out on the yard on a pole. Both the tv tech and directv tech have said its from the storms. Realizing that electricity takes the easiest route aka thru the HDMI cable, is it possible that my dish isnt grounded correctly? Does anyone have any experience with anything such as this? or can offer any suggestions before I have to drop serious dough to get this fixed. bought new tv and upgraded to HD this past super bowl. problems have arose ever since, no problem with tube tv for the past 10 years, have had the board in the tv replaced once, and recently burnt an hdmi on new board, approx 1 month after board replaced.
