divx-file, why is it that it plays the video but not the sound?

I have a divx-file that reproduces the movie as such, but the sound is not played. I use divx-player. Any idea what to do in order to get the sound, too? - Only serious answers, please. Thanks.
Sorry to say that downloading the latest version of divx didn't solve the problem. What now...?
 
You're obviously missing a codec. Get the latest version of Divx--that should make it work.
