I'm using Sony Vegas Platinum to make videos, but the end result tends to be in the 1-2G range o_0 This doesn't really work either for uploading to YouTube or for being able to store them on my laptop with the somewhat limited storage space. So I downloaded the free trial of DivX, and it did a great job of shrinking the video without losing any quality... but the problem is that while the Vegas version of the video is in the widescreen aspect ratio, when DivX converts it, the ratio squishes into a square (essentially YouTube sized). I've tried changing the settings on DivX, but it won't stretch to the proper ratio. What I'm wondering is if there's something out there that will do what DivX does (with the shrinking and keeping most of the quality) without squeezing the aspect ratio down to something I don't want. Help!
