Divx Video - How do I turn a .divx.part video to just .divx?

I downloaded a lost episode, and the "Save Video" thing wasnt working for me so I tried making it just a .divx, but it is still a .part, but it still works with VLC media player, but not divx.

So, im putting it on usb so i can put it on my other computer, is there a way i can get rid of the .part or should i just leave it?

1. Right Click on the Video
2. Select Rename
3. Remove the .part

Not being a smart ass, I'm being serious. Hell and actually if you want just change the .divx to .avi because its the same damn thing.
