Hello people Merry Christmas and a happy new year ahead.. This question goes to real computer geeks out there!!...
Below is my computer configuration:
Intel pentium 3 Processor 501MHZ
256MB of RAM
40GB HDD
O/s Details:
Windows XP home edition SP2
Drivers:
Latest VGA drivers
latest chipset drivers (intel 810)
Additional information:
Installed files:
Direct x 9.0b (Redistributable)
K-lite codec pack 4.80 (Latest version)
Vlc media player (Latest version too)
Media player 11
Latest Divx codec bundle software installed
Recent purchases:
Have recently purchased a LCD moniter of 19 inches.
Issue:
Whenever i try to play a Divx/Xvid movie, it runs totally slow. It almost moves frame after frame and the dialogues are far ahead from the scene. Thought it was my Avast anti virus was dong it..tried uninstalling it, yet no go.. I wish if someone can suggest an effective troubleshooting to fix this issue. am having difficulty only when i install windows Xp on the computer.. tried changing different versions of Xp tried with/without service packs yet the same. It word fine with other o/s but just wanted to know why iam unable to use windows Xp??? i am not facing issues like slow performance on the computer, virus infections , malware and adware.. as i have just formatted my PC and this issue persists on all the versions of xp, my friend has a PC of similar configuration as mine.. he too faced the same issue.
please help !!
