My car tyre has a puncture and I am working to repair it, as I have a number of appointments to keep before I will be able to afford a new tyre. I have seen the online videos about DIY puncture repair. I note the procedure includes rolling it about in the snow to moderate the heat caused by the flaming petrol, so the rubber heats up more evenly to become pliable. My questions are: once it's hot, do I have to work the rubber into the hole, or will it just flow into it itself? Also, in the absence of snow, would spraying it a fine mist of water be a good substitute?
