So, you've got your painters and musicians, actors and singers, etc.
Their talents are all considered 'art'.
And I've often heard writing refered to as the same.
Eg. 'The art of writing..'
But is it?
Just because you're good at football, doesn't mean you're an artist (what I'm saying is that sporting talent isn't considered an art is it?).
So is having the gift of putting amazing storytelling onto paper to make vivid scenes dance before a reader's eyes considered an art?
And why?
What defines which talents make one an 'artist'?
Your thoughts please.
