I read a question earlier about, Is it worse to have never believed in religion, or to have been a believer and then loose your faith. And one of the answerers said something that i found more disturbing than their usual, predictable rhetoric. She said, and i quote, "It is terrible to have 'believed'/idea of Him and then to fall away worse as even more demons will attack then!! (Been there, done that.) Former Agnostic.
" end quote. Wow. She actually, honestly seems to believe that she has been attacked by demons. And the way she says it kind of implies that not only is this possible, but she believes it to be commonplace. Now i know there are always those who`s views are extreme, but i get the feeling, from the way she said this, that she feels this is like an every day occurrence, that people get attacked by demons. I always assumed that the christians didn't really believe that sort of thing really happened except in object lessons in their scripture, but she said it like it was common, and common knowledge. So my question is directed at believers of religions. Do you believe that people get attacked by demons? Is something that only happened in legends in the past? or does this happen today on a regular basis? Have you ever, or do you believe you have ever been attacked by a demon? In what form does such an attack take place?
Yes, i realise that it wasnt actually true. Of course its a fiction, but what i find disturbing is that she actually THINKS it is true. You have to wonder what kind of mental disease could cause her to believe she had been attacked by demons. I dont know if they even make medication for that type of delusion.
but heaven and hellare fictional places Redhead. Is the promise of reward or punishment thats been used by those in power to control the sheep since time began. Only the naive will blindly accept such things just because someone else swears its true but can provide no evidence one way or the other except to say, "trust me" lol
