Do DVD's work in Blu-Ray Drives?

Does anyone know whether DVD's and CD's work in Blu-Ray Drives?

i think they should because new age technology are usually compatible with old ones. for example dvd drives can read cds as well

Only if they have a DVD laser, not all will, but most new ones do now....
