I am an aspiring physician and have been looking closely at ER. I realize that the ER physician's schedule is run in shifts... Usually 12 hours. But I would like to know more about their life outside the ER. I would love to work towards being an ER physician, I just don't want to lose time away from family and for myself completely. Is there time for any recreation? Vacation?
