...someone else breaking into my car? Ok so a few months back someone broke into my car, I caught them (they ran ofc) but they had their car parked down the road. Their friends drove off in the car but I got a good look of them, and the license plate number. I called the cops, identified the guy (I knew who he was) and gave his license number. They found them down the road at one of their friends house (who lives near me) and arrested them. The court date was scheduled, etc, etc.

My question is, for the damage done to my car (broken window, attempted theft, etc) am I definitely required to bring pictures of the broken window to court (non-jury trial) and also estimates on how much it would cost to get fixed? I know it's always a good idea to bring them, but is it a 100% requirement to win my case? If I showed up without pictures or the estimates would the judge throw the case out?
