My dog and I will be flying air Canada to the States- just a short trip. She will be riding in cabin with me. I've got the right carrier and proof of her rabies vaccine. I've read a couple of places on the internet that I don't need a health certificate for Air Canada, which would be great, since my vet is very expensive and I just brought my dog to see him recently (she is very healthy), but the flight is a month away (so the certificate I could get now wouldn't count). Since there is no mention of a certificate on Air Canada's website, and the States/Canada don't require them for dogs entering (just proof of rabies vaccine), I called Air Canada- the person I spoke to could not confirm either way- just said he had never heard of a Health Certificate for dogs and to "ask my vet" what I need. Has anyone taken a dog on Air Canada? Help?
