I am looking at buying a GPS system, nothing fancy...just the basic directions...but would love to have the option of knowing the traffic before I get there. I am looking at TomTom, Magellen and Garmin.

I've just got to tell you, my cousin is going through the most horrible treatment for cancer because of her cell phone, she had a bluetooth. Some people just will get cancer from having that radiation so close to their faces. Can't you put the whole thing on speaker?

You dont need bluetooth to get traffic update.

Blue tooth is to be used for hands free phone calls.

Most GPS units have a plan you need to pay for, for live update traffic. There are some, like Navigon -- i think thats the name, that has a life time free live update traffic. (the software is slow tho-- so u win some you lose some)

I have a tomtom, with no live update, but then again, i have an iphone, that has free traffic updates on its map, so i use them hand and hand.
