Do iPhones Work With T-mobile Service?

I just bought an iPhone via e-bay for $100. i currently have a T-mobile plan and love it. Can I use my iPhone with T-mobile? Do i have to unlock it? Whats it mean to "Unlock" a phone?

Tons of questions, Just looking for some answers.

unlocking a phone means that you've opened it up to work with other carriers. So yes, you would have to unlock it to work with T-mobile.
There is help online available to unlock it. Once unlocked, put your sim in and away you go.
I don't know a whole lot about unlocking them specifically, I do know that you can't update it, or it will relock and you'll have to go through the process of unlocking it again.

Hi yes you can buy iphone from ebay and then try to insert your T-mobile sim in it .If it accept then you don't need to unlock it .You can freely use it or else if it didn't accept your T-mobile sim then it is clear that your iphone is locked .To unlock it visit Unlocking4u.com here they ask you the network carrier name to which your iphone is locked .Then at last they help you unlock your iphone using remote unlocking method .Using this you can unlock your iphone and use your t-mobile sim in it .
