Do most snowmobiles go in reverse ? If not are they heavy to turn around?

I,m thinking of buying a 1993 mach snowmobile and can,t remember if most snowmobiles go in reverse ? Is it expensive to repair a reverse that is broken or have a new one installed ? TYVM !!!!!!

My 1996 Arctic cat 550 is a 700 pond boat. But its not to bad to remove it. Some guys i ride with have it and dont use it. Its good in garages, and backing out from things but it tends to dog you in deeper. Ushually im stuck because i can get traction i powder and the only thing to do is lift it onto better snow. But most dont go in reverse. In MINNESOTA its SNOWING!!! FINALLY we have 4 inches already. And its pouring down .
