If you are in college I would get the email/internet plan. I know from experience. I have used it a lot. I believe it is well worth it.

Verizon network? I recently bought a first generation Motorola Q and went to enable it with Verizon via their website. Well after entering the HEX code it told me to select one of the following options but there was only one: "Email/Internet for $30 a month." Must I have this package? Can I not simply have the phone for texting and calls without enabling email and web-browsing?

I should note that I already have a plan with Verizon which includes texting and pictures, but not email or web-browsing.

It's your choice if you want to avail of that service or not. But based on experience, it's really helpful. But of course it depends on your work and your lifestyle.
