My school has been doing this recently (Its a predominantly white private school) and at first the students didn't realize their biases and stereotypes (even I didn't realize my own) but form talking about it everyone has matured and become a bit more insightful about race. It think it is something that should be talked about on both sides of the spectrum... black and white. I'm black and being a part of literally an all white discussion about it I learned a lot. I feel like most white ppl want to brush off race b/c they honestly believe there is no problem and black ppl want to brush it off because it has only caused more problems for them. But race cant just be forgotten like that. If we talk about it first we see all of the problems and can go from there to fix them.</p></blockquote><p></p>
