I am white American. I hate apologists: whether that's a American apologist, Muslim apologist, white apologist etc. I believe apologists like to simplify things, reverting to political correctness and looking through rose-tinted glasses to suggest the problems the world is facing are not really as bad, and try to build common ground where there isn't any. In other words, they rely on false notions and 'lies' to present a rosy, tolerant image; in most cases, to appease a majority and to integrate with them.
I'm American, but I don't think America is the greatest nation in the world. In fact, I don't think any nation in the world is the best: the country people were born and raised in, they will have a special emotional attachment to it, and I feel that. But there is no way where you can say America is the greatest nation of this planet, or any other country for that matter. I think America (and the rest of the world) has serious problems, I'd rather address them head on than hear PC apologists talk about it.
