Seriously, there's nothing more disgusting than watching a bunch of airheads spouting their "trend of the month" liberal beliefs. What is it, water bottles and plastic bags are the latest enemy now? What a joke, go back to your mansions and lock yourself in!
It's the presidential "I Pledge" ad. SO OBNOXIOUS.

F--k osama and the anti-american sentiments spewed from nazi left...

In 4 yrs--we can elect a real man or woman to the job--now we must suffer fools.....sigh.

I like obama and everything, but that commercial was corny. At least i know they all support him!

I have not seen this particular ad in my area, but I navigated to the You Tube link you provided and took a look.

I couldn't stand to watch the whole thing and quit halfway through. Yeah, this kind of ad really turns me off. And I have several reasons why.

Number One, I think we have this weird thing going on in America where we no longer have any REAL heroes. Our heroes all seem to come from television with the actors and actresses who portray roles we like but who may never have done anything more than star in a movie or TV series and never did anything heroic themselves.

I think there are FAR too many celebrities who have gotten into politics these days and it has fed the whole Obama-as-a-star phenomenon. That phenomenon is feeding on itself. Celebrities jump on the Obama bandwagon because it might afford them a little AIR TIME or exposure for their career. So then star-status is transferred to Obama and he gains. And as his waters of support rise, so do all boats floating with his, rise as well. It seems to be swelling like a big 'ol balloon....and I wonder if there is a pin of reality coming that will pop this balloon.

Remember Michael Jackson and the whole "We Are the World" thing that brought in singers from everywhere and was heralded as such a historic project? This ad you cite reminds me of that whole strategy. And where is Michael Jackson NOW in terms of how he is perceived by so many in America? He's a poignant reminder that one can rise to the top but fame and favor can be fickle and fleeting.

The other thing that I don't like about this ad you've cited is that they seem to be taking on so many different problems and needs, it's like they are throwing in EVERYTHING, including the kitchen sink -- all feeding on Obama-fever as if he is going to fix it all if we just BELIEVE and have HOPE and pitch in! Well I don't think you can fix things without belief and hope and people pitching in to help. But you need to FOCUS instead of this shotgun approach to try to fix it all at once. And for that reason, this ad fails due to lack of credibility. It is so wide-eyed in it's optimism, it seems to be more self-serving to give the celebrities air-time versus giving viewers a SPECIFIC course of action to take on a SPECIFIC issue. Again, just a wave of glittering generalities with unbridled optimism that is rather insulting to those of us who know we cannot merely WISH solutions into being.

BUT we will see how Obama fares and I'll be curious to see if many of these fair-weather celebrity supporters will be singing the same Obama tune in 4 years.

And by the way, I have noted the various recognizable celebrities who participated in this ad. I wonder if they got paid or donated their time? Regardless, I do think less of them now. They should stick to acting and keep their vote in the voting booth versus going on the campaign trail for ANY politician if they know what is safer for their careers.

I make it a point not to watch things like that...I record most of my shows on tivo so i can fast forward through the crap

That is how they make their living by repeating lines written by someone else.

Anyone can pledge but the test will come will they do it?

Sorry, I couldn't watch the whole thing. I started gagging almost immediately. Notice how they never said any of that when GW was in the white house.Commie bastards.

Yes. It's very Socialist/Communist. Obnoxious can't begin to touch it! It is good that we with brains are about to recognize reality and truth, and not be deceived by Liberal propaganda, and it is a shame that even after two world wars the uneducated stayed uneducated, and cannot see propaganda when it smacks them upside the face. It will take some more years of abuse at the hands of Socialism and Obama, and personal age growth for the Liberals of today to be forced to wake up out of their sleepy uneducated possession. We Conservatives will have to let them learn, and use patience. This is also Christ's way.
No matter how hard it hurts, justice will prevail.
